This is fantastic work. Β Was this done in Zbrush? Β I use sculpey firm but thinking of moving to a wax clay variation

You could, you're really talented and your results are perfect ! It's with pleasure I watch you !
Did you use the same technique of molding and painting inside the mold with resin?

I just got my 15x21" print of this today! Wow! The quality is superb, I think it is actually a giclee print from the looks of it. I will post a pic later. Thanks! I love your sculpture!

Hey Scot, I'm not sure what kind of print it is, this is theΒ first one I've sold.
I checked out one of your windowΒ painting tutorials, great techniques.
I was a house painter for about 7 years. Looking forward to the link and thanks again!

Hi Jesse, ha! that's cool you checked out some of my tutorials. Yeah I finally decided to just do them and not charge, then I can get more creative and have fun with them.
That's interesting you were a house painter, we all move around.
The quality is pretty amazing. I have had a few giclee prints of my art made before for art shows. I use to do the lowbrow gallery circuit and was pretty involved with Greg Escalanate from Juxtapoz magazine but discovered I am not into the gallery scene. Anyway the print is velvety smooth, I got a frame for it yesterday, I will create a journal to a link to some pics of the framed piece.
Just showed my wife the print, it blew her mind! ha!
Thanks Jesse

Holy cow...okay no one can deny how amazing this is, I am freakin' blown away, as good as Jordu Schell and that guy that does those huge oversized pieces (forgot his name). You are really a master. I love seeing someone who can do super amazing work! Refreshing and inspiring!

I thank you for those comments, Jordu Schell is one of my all time favorite sculptors and I feel humbled when I think of his work.
I think Ron Mueck is the other sculptor you were thinking of, an amazing sculptor as well.

This is amazing! May I ask, how did you get the stubble effect? Is that actually hair fibres? O_O

Thanks!! Its white acrylic paint that's dried up on the side of a little plastic container.Β I scrape tiny flecks
from the side with a pin and carefully apply them one by one. The dark hair was applied with some type of
charcoal pencil crayon sharpened every few hairs. Once done I seal it withΒ Krylon Crystal Clear. Very tedious!Β Β Β Β
