I love the fabric texture so perfect and clean. When I press texture onto a sheet of clay to be fabric, by the time I put it on the figure and make the folds the texture is destroyed in the process.

Thanks for your compliment. Try sculpting all the folds on the figure
and then apply texture. Rather than making the clothing separate
and then trying to attach it. It also helps to do a tiny bit of texture at a
time, rather than laying down a big swath of material on top of your
project.
