hmm, yeah. i noticed that i stopped working out and thought that i was just lazy...later i realized i just lacked the inspiration. i had nobody to look goof for. now i do, and i work out every day O_o;

I drew the outlines in illustrator and colored them dark purple..then I put a darker near black inner glow on them just to add a little depth...thats about all there was too it..and then I just played with gradients and brushes..

well, it turned out good
And no, it wasn't what I guessed ^-^; what I usually do (probably largely because I don't have illustrator XD) is just draw the construction and some facial/body features then fill it in with Photoshop, sometimes with the magic wand and extra layers, sometimes without ^-^;

Some people like to do silhouettes and fail miserably, but this is an exception.
The contrast is great! I think the clouds add some visual interest to it.
