Description
Without sounding like a history professor (and I feel confident Mr. Ozz will correct me if I am mistaken), Sif, second wife of Thor, is a Norse goddess of harvest and wealth, her most famous attribute being her long golden hair. Little else is known of her (though she is, perhaps, one of the oldest Norse goddesses) since Snorri Sturluson (the 13th century monk who first created a written record of the Norse pantheon) seems to have purposely left her out...The bracelet, though modified, is modelled after a piece of Viking jewelery...
Ink, colored pencils on sketchbook paper. (2004)

Great angle of her and not an easy angle to draw either. I like the minimalist use of lines for the body form - your eye just makes up the rest of the curves itself. Its nice to see a larger lady being drawn as well.

Well, if we want to get all symbolic, I left ther figure plain and put the focus into the hair as that is what Sif is most known for (according to my sources) and much of the goddess herself has been lost over time. So I kind of planned that one (but we try not to think too deeeply into things, it hurts) Mm, yes, I am also plotting a campagin to embrace all manner of body styles (there's beauty in everything, if you care to look) so thank you for noticing!
And thanks for the lovely comment, as ever!

Gorgeous! She looks absolutely beautiful. The hair is just full of excitement (why can't mine be as flowy!?), and her face is divine. Lovely body shape as well! She seems so full of grace and power.
