The Faery Queen, updated!Took a new photo, so you can see all of her now. Haven't worked in her much in a while, maybe I'll get remotivated.

She's looking beautiful, I love the amount of...3d-ness? you can get with pencil crayons, it's pretty jaw-dropping. The folds in her dress are just hypnotic! I can't stop staring, so many lovely colours. You put so much effort into all your pieces, its amazing. I hope you complete this, she's so beautiful so far!

Thank you so much! Yeah, runny mascara makes me happy, for some odd reason, tells a kind of subtle story, perhaps. Colored pencils, I think, are more versatile than most people will give them credit for. I would recommend picking up a basic pack of prismacolors and playing with blending, they are just so amazing! (I should sign some kind of endorsement with them, I think...

You know, to be honest, I'm not so fond of the way you draw heads. It's a bit too cartoon-ish for me. But how you design those outfits... and how you execute them. That's just wonderful. The way you render the fabrics. Amazing.

The heads... I understand what you mean (they look kind of Anime-inspired, I suppose, and I am not much a fan of that sort of thing, even if it has infiltrated my work from time to time) and sometimes I have to switch gears completely, to keep my sanity (ie, the Soldier). It's odd when you rebel against your own style
And thank you, I take great pains when it comes to costume, fabric, etc., and it is so wonderful to know it pays off from time to time!
