Just something I did for myself, because I was kind of bogging down from all the commissions and xmas presents. I clearly needed a break x.x I was about to strangle myself man.Anyway, done in colored pencils, watercolors and ink.
Ever wonder what a demon would look like if it was of water, instead of the air? Or a succubus? What if that was a mermaid was just an aquatic succubus, sent to lure sailors to their deaths... I find the parallels between the siren myths in greece and the myths of succubi elsewhere rather interesting. Even if one is water and one is air.

She's gorgeous, though something about the set of her eyes and mouth makes her look almost... tragic. Like (going with the siren myth) she's singing and she knows what'll happen to the hapless sailors, and maybe she regrets it a little.
Anyway, beautiful, beautiful stuff. Ohmaigahds the colors.

Beautiful!....and well some of the greek/roman myths also show sirens as air and water, so they are very close to the same anyways just different cultural explainations I guess

Your color palette is truly genius. The purple of her hair and the green of her eyes sets off the rest of the warm colors in her tail/fins. Great contrast and a really beautiful image!

I don't think so either. The depths and the different colors in the skin are something that you've only recently tried playing with, and I don't think it would have the same impact without it. The end result is stunning.

the pose is so fluid and her expression heartwrenching! The skintones and anatomy are absolutely spot on, love the variation in colour you use to colour it, the second-lights are also very appealling, gorgeous work

Looks awesome. I love the scales on the inside of the forearm there. Reminds me a bit of a leafy kind of demon/memaid/goddess.
