Description
ConceptI accidentally melted your tree. You didn't need that, did you?
This was an exercise done after I had taken my medication in just.. relaxing. I'm very structured when I draw, and sometimes run into stumbling blocks of being SO rigid about how things have to be drawn that I just don't know what to draw because it won't fit in the space I have. So for this I literally just took a pencil and drew random circles, then kind of.. let the shapes evolve from there. There was no rhyme or reason. Oh I like a curly feather here. Hey there's a great big eye! etc. I had no idea what it would come out like, but I enjoyed every moment of it.
Materials
This was also an experiment in derping with whatever I had on hand. So there are watercolors, there are acrylics, there are enamels, there are colored pencils used in this piece.

Side notes
I'll be taking a new photo of it soon, the lighting is a bit weird and the colors not QUITE true.
As this was my first step in practicing new things (being relaxed and not so rigid) I feel it was a pretty good step along the way of evolving my art. How are your practice pieces coming along? Β Β (don't forget, the deadline for submissions to me is January 1st. See my journal for details if this is confusing to you <3 )
