so when this photo was taken, she just started pointe? she's not really pointing, her feet are just kind of straight? she's just standing on her toes really, and her shoes look new and not broken in. I suggest she keeps taking classes and tries to stretch her feet more for a better pointe.

Yes, this was mid last year when she just started pointe.
She takes classes and also took a weeks coarse at the australian ballet so shes gotten quite a bit better. And also they were REALLY bad shoes lol. She's got gaynors now I think.

I havent actually got anymore at the moment, its kind of too cold for pretty ballet pictures in a tutu and such.
But I am planning to get some more though.

I'm only dancing for one and a half years, so I'm no professional, but I'd love to give her the advice I'm able to give.
In the photo, it looks like she's sickling. I'm en pointe myself and I know how hard it is not to sickle. But she should really try as hard as she can to keep her weight on her big toe.
She's also not fully on her box, maybe it's because the shoes are new and not yet fully broken in.
Other than that, she stands very strong and upright, which is beautiful, and her shoes seem to be a good fit for her.

Yeah i think those shoes were new... i know she got new ones around that time any way lol.
She loved the course a has improved alot so im hoping to take another lot of photos.Thank you again.

Yeah... i love the snow but ive only been twice, i love in melbourne australia. The wether is usually too tempremental to stay stedy enough for snow

perhaps you should do another one but have her standing in her studio or at a park... just so the background is a graceful as she is.
but dont get me wrong, im not saying the backyard isn't pretty.
