Yes, I really DO hate my fandom sometimes.Point is, recolours are LAZY and LAME and stunt your creativity. No one is asking you to draw like a pro, so why not at least TRY instead of taking the lazy route and recolouring official artwork of the girls? It gets tiresome, it really does =/

I totally agree. Winx is pretty bad of this. And the girls outfits just lend themselves to being paperdolls that you inter-change outfits on top of them. Love your other winx art though.

Just about every fandom has this problem, then you wonder why people assume every FC made for a certain series is a Sue/Stu

This is why I'm not really into this fandom...theres so little diversity. I just wish they attempted more; it's a learning process, yes, but the fun is being able to do what you really want with what you've learned. :/
But thats why I love your rendition of the style. The anatomy/expression/movement goes a looooooong way.

I have to agree with that stamp. That's why I started out with colouring pages before moving on to bases. And plus, most of the recolour I seen is horrible. They even do it to the already animated transfomations.....peeves me off.....

Besides, its so much more fun to make them from scratch were you can do anything.

I don't mind when people borrow hairstyles or some items of clothing from the original Winx, but OCs need to have a substantial point of difference.
Colour-overs are very unattractive indeed.
