I know that after the Elephant Graveyard scene, the part where Simba and Mufasa were talking together, and the 'Be Prepared' scene, that's when the Stampede scene comes. (Unless, maybe this picture comes before Simba follows Scar to theΒ canyon/gorge.)

I never really made a time frame for it, it was just an idea that popped into my head and wouldn't leave until I drew it
Maybe more of an alternate universe? If Scar hadn't killed Mufasa, if Simba and Nala had continued to grow together, there may have been a moment where Simba thought "I could be okay with this". Kara-kiwi's drawing is very cute too
