Thank you! I really appreciate that It took a little over a month, but it was because I kept stopping and working on other things (I have to take breaks so it doesn't feel like a chore!).

i know what you mean!!! but still sometimes when you get in the zone, its like you cant stop! do you just come up with these as you go or are they planned a bit?

I do that too, sometimes I'll work till my hand hurts too much and starts to go numb--I think we're supposed to do hang-yoga or something every half hour? but I always forget. Well I sketch things out first with pencil, I used to start with ink only and do everything freehand but I don't do that anymore. I like to work on it with something I can erase so that it can evolve for a while; but that's just the basic outlines and idea of it, when I start to ink it, it's all spontanious and usually becomes something I hadn't even planned. For instance, the sides on this were meant to be trees, and they look like that still but also look like hair which I didn't plan. It always veers from what I originally saw as the patterns and details are added.

Thats very interesting the bit about trees and hair, i can see it clearly. I also start with pencil, unless its totally not meant to be clean..which is rare. I think erasing is a little too important to me And yes evolution of the drawing cant happen without it, like usually only half the idea is in my head so if i did it in pen it would have loads of unwanted lines! Anway, thank you for the insights
