When Shepard's away, anything can happen on the Normandy.
Hehe, well anyway....just thought I'd make a Tali/Garrus pic for you guys.
I know the armor and everything is really sloppy and not accurate, but I really just threw it together, for fun mainly. I do suck really badly at painting armor....and ship interiors, which I kept blurry for just that reason.
As for the concept....well, I'm a big Tali/Garrus shipper. And I have always thought of Quarians to look a little bit like Turians. After all, they do seem to share some features.
But yeah. I know this doesn't look like I spent a whole lot of effort or time on it....but believe me, I really did! So many hours! LOL. Alright.

anyway I gotta say that this is beautiful. there has been many interpratations of what Tali might look like but I think yours is realy fitting. Her features are adorable. but ofcause they are, cause they remind me of Garrus lol only faminine

Thanks buddy. Yeah. Everyone thinks that she is supposed to look human, but genetically she is closer related to turians, just like asari are closely related to humans, so it would make sense that she looked turian. I really think that fans will be really disappointed when they find out that she does look like Garrus, lol. I'm lucky that I have multiple Shepards. One for every character so far, besides Ashley I think, lol. Hehe, thanks buddy. The pattern was just sort of scribbled on there, but I am glad that it was effective. Haha, definitely not! wow that would realy be interesting to see a quarian looks like once and for all so I hope they will add that in in Mass effect three, or they may keep it a mystery for ever lol.

Well, the director of Bioware...I forget his name, lol. He said that we will get to see what quarians look like in this game. I'm crossing my fingers. Hopefully they will be creative with the design, and not make them look like purple elves, lol.

WHile I don't agree with the space elf thing everyone does, I also don't think they would look like Turians. For starts, they have to have some ancesotry of some sort of animal that produces milk, I would imagine. It is listed they have lips, teeth, and two eyes with eyelids and tear ducts.
Maybe they are kind of a mix, like a platypus.

That's an interesting theory also. I did try to sort of give her lips; perhaps like a turian/human cross. It's probably not very noticeable though. I was also looking at turian females....they seem to be able to produce milk, also like mammals....like the woman in this picture. She appears to have breasts, unless my eyes are deceiving me.

But I agree. The platypus is definitely a walking contradiction in nature. A very nice comparison.

Not that one should totally apply animals from earth to aliens, but some bird species do produce milk. Both genders of said species. Though that is cause their lactose glands are located in their throats. Like I said, it doesn't always apply though, as Turians do give birth to their young live, which is different then any birds (or platypus) on earth.
As for that comic artwork...I can totally believe female Turians not having crest on the top of their head, but really, totally bald? Not even protection on the back of their necks? Plus, I don't know if those would be counted as breast, as Turians are more...rougher and all hard edges.

And yeah, that's what I was thinking, that both quarians and turians were more mammal-like.
The comic artwork...yeah, it was a part of the Mass Effect: Evolution comic series.
There is another front shot of her on the turian wiki page: [link] I don't know why they are bald....that part never made any sense to me either. But it does make them seem more human-like in a way. The female turians also seem to have a bigger, more supportive waist, kind of similar to humans...or quarians. You're probably right about the rougher edges though. That could be a problem for the females, unless they are softer than the males. But then again, who knows. All we know is that turians and quarians are the only two species in the ME universe that share the body make-up of dextro-amino acids, while all other sentient life is based on other amino acids. I hope they release a book on all of the alien races' physiology soon.

Well, the supportive waist make sense, especially for any species that bares it's young live.
