Description
So, my husband and I are big nerds. And we both loved (and still love) playing Nintendo games growing up. And it was that love that eventually led me to making this beast here--the Quilt Entertainment System! This blanket is a king size, and there are over 40 characters. (It was too big to take a full pic on the bed. So we hung it from the second floor balcony.) Here's a link to a video we put together with more information and pictures if you're interested:humulos.com/stuff/
I don't own any Nintendo Characters. (But gosh darn it, I do love 'em!)

Wow is that all tiny square sewn together? Amazing job! That would fetch a pretty penny if you ever considered selling it but it is obviously a product of love and it really shows!

Thank you! Yes, the design was a challenge for sure. But so worth it to see the design come together in the intended way!

Oh, gosh so many! I mean I love Link (both of them) - it takes me back to when I would sit on my mom's back when she would play the game. And Pacman - I remember playing the arcade tabletop version of it when my dad would go to the Moose.

Love it! And this is exactly why I made the quilt--it just brings back memories to anyone who played these old games!

Thank you! It was definitely hard work. But it was a lot of fun to do--especially at the end when I could see the characters coming together. I'd do it again!

It took me about 10 months from coming up with the idea to finishing it. It's pretty big. Over 5000. So...yeah. Took a while.

Actually towards the end of September of last year, and finished in July of this year. But I kept it to myself until recently.
