The image is very striking, the eyes most of all. It has a bit of nitty-gritty feel to it. It's more of a personal preference to the edges exposed and cropped these way, some may not like sense the image appears unclean and unfinished. However I think it adds to the image rather than distracts from it. It feels as if the image is being formed in front of the viewer rather than it was torn away from something. The likeness of the character is also passable. There is a lot of expression given to the character, not just in the face but also within the pose. The texture of the cloth, face, sword, background give an uneasy feeling, making the image look very raw. The overall image has a solid structure, recognizable likeness and an interesting style. It's intense and dramatic with a touch of mystery.
