Description The Bobolink is very rare in my area, whenever I run into fellow birders they always ask me " Have you seen the Bobolinks?!!"  they arrive and nest in only one field that I know of for milesssss.

they are a type of blackbird.

Great shot... These have vanished from my area many years ago....you're lucky to still see them.

Yeah I feel very lucky.  last year the farmer harvested his field before they fledged exposing them to the crows...
everyone lost their collective minds on him.  This year thankfully they returned and he has agreed to not harvest until after they fledge.  Wish more farmers were like him.
