Description
A watercolour painting for *lilgreymoth in return for a picture she's sending me through the post. Thought I'd scan and upload before I sent this next week.Poorly used reference from [link]
I ee'd and argh'd over this pose, especially adding wings. So then I tried some perspective. Ha haaa
And don't get me started on watercolours. I definitely need practise. And something to stretch this bristol board so it doesn't warp.

I love this! the pose came out great. I like the linework on this a lot, especially on the hooves. It has a kind of fun sketchy feel to it.
I'm amazed at how quickly you got this done. thank you so much!
It took me a while to get the hang of watercolors myself, but now I love em! I have found using anything but watercolor paper for them is damn near impossible for me though x_x I don't know if this pic warped for you, but it definitely arrived perfectly flat!

I'm so glad you like it It was a little bit bent/warped when I sent it, but by the looks of it, being packed into a tough envelope flattened it again. Great stuff!

That looks great! Love the perspective, another tough one to pull off but you did an awesome job. Love the shading and highlighting too, that has to be tough using watercolors.

The browns are very lovely on this! Good job tackling a difficult pose too.
I've never used bristol board before, do you like it!

It's nice; it feels really soft to the touch (though not moleskin) and I'm pleased with the felt tip and pencil crayons I've used on it. With watercolours it's curled a little at the edges, but it seems to have held up alright!
I think I took a gamble using a darkish green for the shadows, but it wasn't too bad!
Thank you hun
