Right on man...keep rockin. You ever look at Jim Dine? My fav. draftsman...I think you'd dig it...some of the greatest werk of the second half of the 19th cen.

hey, i was brousing through and saw this piece you have done, i think its really good and i am trying to do this sort of style for a project i am doing at the moment. i was wondering how you did this and what materials you used, because i would like to have a go at doing something in this sort of style. So if you could give me any tips that would be great. Please reply back soon. Thanks

my patience with etching is rather close to nil.

i've never had any interest at all in etching, and it had been my most unfavourite of all methods to create art until a saw this squiggly mass of an amazing man.

and then i was inspired. but i still lack the patience.
i really like this (:

This picture brings about so many emotions... I see a cage over the face, an aboriginal necklace, strength, attitude, containment... terrific!!

this one is kinda creepy, in a good way of course, it seems like theres so much to see but do I really want to look because of the texture and how its almost writhing....I dont understand the title it seems contradictory, is that what you were aiming for?
the eyes strike me the most...they are so full of life somehow and so ghostly

This is fantastic, the lines are so full of life and from looking at them I can picture you actually drawing this piece. I love art like this, I wish i could do it. I'm often for too controlling and find it difficult to express myself the way I want to; like this. So yes, I really admire people who can do this. I agree with what :devipatternsinthestatic: said about the actual portrait itself having more emotion, but like they said it's up to you what you do and you shouldn't feel pressured to change. I think I'll check out your gallery, and this is definately getting a fav. It's nice to see something so expressive and exciting

I think this one has to be my absolute favourite from all the work I've seen so far, and I can't really say why..
As usual you've done an awesome job with the lines as an emotional touch. I don't know if you should really change the expression on the faces but perhaps you could give it a try, you never know. I'm not gonna say "keep it like this" because experimenting is a good thing =] Even just in some sketches, just to see if it's your thing..
But anyway, what I do know for sure is that this is awesome. Keep up the amazing work.

this one kind of makes me think of francis bacon and his screaming popes..

great stuff, i really like this one, its nice and fluid and suggests a lot without having to describe it - its annoying the way people think that a perfectly shaded pencil drawing is the ultimate image, and its refreshing to know people still allow themselves to be original rather than 100% accurate..

Thanks .

I cant see the point of being accurate, when we have photography.

maybe i'd like to see more emotion in your portraits... they seem stoic... i mean, the lines are all over the place and interesting to look at, but the face is so still. is this on purpose?
