History:
As an abandoned child, she was raised in a church and taught to live a peaceful life. She was born into poverty and managed to pray to the goddesses in hopes for a better future. She was well mannered and helpful to the community. Some adults thought of her as a saint for her kind and gentle heart. In the church, few nuns paid attention to her and few priests tried to make advances towards her, but she was smart enough to make an excuse to foil any of their plans. She was seen as the big sister the kids needed and wanted. She would care for all the children, and had no hatred towards those who thought the church was cursed.
At the age of 7, she found out the reason why people began to hate the church. She saw a mere demi-human living in the same church as her, and she had not noticed until then. She would approach the boy many times, and eventually he warmed to her. Soon she would follow the boy to the library and was taught to read and write by the staff members. She would work the weekends helping them clean and organize the shelves free of charge, but the staff thought she should deserve something worthwhile. They began to introduce her to fellow merchants and artisans, and she offered to be adopted into a wealthy family, but declined. At the age of 10, she entered the guild and began to take quests. She mainly took up quests delivering around town, or collecting herbs and ingredients. She saved the money she got and spent it on materials for her clothing designs. At the age of 14, she traveled out of town and to hone her skills and was given a book by the same boy she grew a connection with.
When she returned, there was word of the demi human missing. She rushed out fearing the worst and came across a burned down cave. She began to walk through the rubble digging through the remains looking for anything that could prove that it wasn't the man she thought it was. As she tore through the burned materials, she prayed silently before screaming to the goddesses begging for his safety. Her heartbeat was skyrocketing as the memories of the boy filled her mind. A faint light glowed in the distance. Out of pure instinct, she reached for the small light and picked up a small ring. She clutched the ring as she dragged her body out of the cave saddened and tearful. She slowly made her way into the town and wandered around until she saw a cheap looking house. She knocked on the door and pleaded softly behind the door. She used the last of her energy clutching the ring, and passed out upon the owner opening the door.
When she awoke that same cold night, she saw that she was in a clean bed, and she was bandaged and cleaned up. As the door opened, she saw a pair of golden eyes in the darkness. The gaze was warm, concerned, and worried. She reached her hand out to the eyes and she was able to feel a face. Upon the light of the full moon, she was able to see a man's face. That same face made memories rush through her mind, his voice made every fiber of her being cry out in happiness, and her heart made her lips move without resistance. She asked the man many questions trying to clarify who it was, and the man answered them all without missing a beat.
The two spent the night talking until they had no words left. By the time they finished speaking, daylight had begun to shine. The man tried to leave, but the young woman refused to let him leave her sight. She pulled him into the bed and told him to rest in a strict tone, and held a vice grip preventing him from breaking out of her grasp. They closed their eyes and woke up around noon. They spent the day catching up, but she felt something was amiss. She clutched her hand and could not feel the ring. The demi-human reassured her everything would be ok, and held out the ring; Although her first reaction would have been to grab the ring, she asked for it to be placed on her finger. The man shyly placed the ring on her finger and a light flashed between the two. The ring was bound to her permanently, but the woman didn't care. She found the place she wanted to be, and saw the ring as an opportunity.
By the age of 17, she had spent three years with the man as they formed a bond as tight as their hearts could take them. During the passing time, the man gifted the woman a book that may be useful to her as she sees fit. As time passed, she began to feel that she was hogging him to herself and asked him if he would chase after any woman. The man responded with a simple but firm no, but she wasn't satisfied. She asked him to go after other women to make himself happy and she was fine with being one of his concubines. The man firmly refused and told her she was all he needed, but the woman decided that he would need another woman in his life. Thus began her multiple attempts to trick him with illusions of women to hit on him, but the man wisely avoided her attempts and would always tease her. He was not angry nor pissed, he only found her attempts as a form of her affection. Despite her antics, the man would always support her and showed hints that he wouldn't oppose her idea, but decides to stick with her due to their long time history. The two would always keep their trouble making to a low and would visit the church every so often.

Update:
After the events of meeting Anet, Rango decided to go to an auction she heard about. She remembered the ritual her lover used and decided to go through the same process, but wanted to become something different than him. As she visited the nearby stalls to fill her stomach. After an hour of looking around, she was able to find the auction house and made her way in. She pulled out a slip of paper and read the amount of gold she had gathered from the many tasks she completed.
As the auction began, Rango looked around to see which person or group that could interfere with her objective and saw a familiar figure. She stood frozen for a moment as she recognized the noble that sat above her. She remembered the man from a young age, as he was the one who ran the church she lived in as an orphan. The man, Darken, had sat from above with a plump and round body figure as he wiped the sweat from his face upon seeing the many buyers who participated in the event. As she turned back around, Rango decided to think why he was at the auction house, but didn’t give it too much thought and focused on her task.
As the demon’s blood came up for sale, Rango was the first to place her bid, and Darken would follow after with his bid. The two continued to raise their bids until Rango placed a bid for 200 gold. Darken shouted from above demanding for her to not defy him, but did not her the judge end the bid after the countdown. Enraged, Darken left his seat and decided to go down to force the woman; on the other hand, Rango got up to pay for the item and leave before Darken could do anything to her. When she paid for the purchase, she was stopped by the noble and a few of his knights.
Darken held out his hand and demanded the vial from Rango, but she laughed in his face before realizing he was serious. She stopped laughing and calmly told him to buzz off, but Darken was not having any of her attitude. He ordered his knights to apprehend her and Rango began to fight back and managed to dispose of almost all of the knights before a mist filled the room and knocked her out.
As Rango woke up, she noticed she was bound by chains and facing the wall. In an instant, she felt a shearing pain in her back as she heard the roaring laughter of Darken. She looked and glared at the man, but he merely instructed his worker to continue to whip her without rest. After a few minutes, Darken ordered his worker to stop and let her down. With a grin, he went to kick, but stopped as Rango covered her stomach rather than her face. He found her actions strange and asked if she was pregnant, but Rango did not respond, and he took her silence for a confirmation. He then planned to use the unborn child for the ritual. Before she could be raised up to continue, she passed out from the pain.
After the events of the revenge, Rango’s lover, Seraphall Hollows, returned to her side and held her hand while calmly explaining what happened. When he was done, she could not help but cry for putting both him and her acquaintance in so much danger, but was undoubtedly grateful to them. Seraphall picked up the grimoire and told her that they will begin the ritual that very night, and she consented to the plan. During that time, Rango managed to gather the rest of their belongings before destroying any evidence of their former home. Seraphall took their stuff to his room in the mountains before heading to a secure spot in the woods.
That night, Seraphall began to draw the magic circle after making a barrier to hide their presence. When drawing the magic circle, he began to whisper a chant as the magic circle began to draw in mana from the moonlight and surrounding area. He then poured the blood from the vial into the circle along with his own; as Rango began to walk into it with the jar containing the fetus. After finishing the chant, Rango and her unborn child vanished in a large white light. As she opened her eyes, she met a woman with hair as black as night, and eyes as crimson as blood.
The mysterious woman greeted Rango and had her sit down. As they began to talk about various events and who the lady was. The woman was called Avalon, the mother of Seraphall, and talked about Seraphall with Rango. Eventually, Avalon told her what she could do for the baby. Without missing a beat, Rango agreed to the idea and would pay any price to let her child live. Avalon was impressed with the woman’s resolve and agreed to help with whatever means she had. Avalon began to use the blood samples for the ritual and first reconstructed Rango’s body with the demon’s blood from the vial.
As she was placed into the newly constructed body, Rango looked for any scars, but found two tails extending from her. Avalon took an inspection and identified the blood used was that of a nekomata, or cat yokai. Although her physical features were almost the same, she still bore the ring he had worn, but noticed a slight difference. The access to light magic was altered due to the new body and was turned into something else. It was suggested that she learned a new method of combat as she got used to the new body, and Rango begrudgingly agreed to her advice. Avalon began to construct the new body for the unborn child.
Avalon handed the child to Rango as the child looked about 10 years old. Rango held the child in her arms and silently cried knowing that she could not make up the decade of time she had paid, but she did not regret making the decision. It was then, Rango decided to give the child a name, Carmilla Deus Hollows. Avalon gifted the child a special ribbon before sending them off, and she passed on a few words of wisdom to both as they vanished into the white light once more.
