just testin' out a different colourin'-way...not really sure I like it, I think I prefer the straight solid colourin' I normally do. hrm...I'll keep workin' on it tho'.It's my current fursona along with Deadsy, my first offical fursona/persona. She a raccoon/lemur mix and I loved her...just got tired of no colour...which is why I switched to that yellow thing there.
I like the idea of drawin' my current persona with deadsy, you know like my younger ideals/thoughts and such compared to now...eh...who knows. I just want to draw her again. And I really like how they look together. And even tho' I'm not all that fond of the colourin' I really like how deadsy came out and I like the pose(especially considerin' how hard a time I have drawin' two peeps together at once).
And just a little history on deadsy's name: My first DA account was called "Deadskullhead" gosh it was morbid, but there was this girl on there who kept callin' me "deadsy" and I really liked it so...it just stuck...reeeeally well.

First depiction of myself: [link] ( I was 14 and silly, I never wore my hair down through highschool until like...the last week when I was forced to by my homeroom).
First more actual human version of myself: [link] (pfft, like I was that skiny at 15).
Gosh, I feel like laughin' at myself for these...but I'm very happy I've improved.

Holy crap, I remember actually seeing those drawings in person! 
Yeeeeaaaah...I didn't have the guts to do it back then, but there actually was one thing your older styles made me realize. In my pettier moments I'd of course mentally turn my nose up at it, citing to myself that all the characters modeled after yourself or other RL people weren't as accurate as they should've been(including traits like body shape, facial shapes and flaws, et cetera). This later turned into "they all look the same, save hair style and eye color".
This viewpoint later transitioned over to my other interests, which proceeded to turn me off of about 80% of most anime series when I realized that this observation was entirely too true in some cases. 
So in a roundabout, indirect way you are the reason for my advancing artistic viewpoints and progess. Have a cookie.
Anyway...I remember Deadsy. Then the billion fracking accounts afterwards (vaquely). I actually used to think you should just make a "Deadsy" account and be done with it. But, that being beside the point, I actually do kind of miss your little racoon fursona! But if all you didn't like about her was the lack of color, you could've just made her into a brown Racoon. Or a blue one. Blue racoons are cooler.
Cause, y'know, you gotta have blue hair.
...Or you could make another character and keep them both (and alternatively play the "Split Personalities" card as well for shits and giggles).

did you use the smudge tool for this? It kind of looks like it. The painter-y effect would be cool, just more practice. And no smudge tool!

But eh, I've always been, apparently before I even knew what furries were. I just wanted to be a raccoon is all.
But yeah, I did and I didn't want to use a painter tool or a soft brush, I was goin' for somethin' else actually, I just failed at it. heh, and there is no shame in the smudge tool! I like it...it's a cute little finger I call Jimmy. Well...not really(the Jimmy part)
GOD I'm tired...but I wide awake...what a shame. -_-
