After several days of art block, I finally drew something good!
I recently started playing Cave Story again, and I really needed to get some fanart out of my system. This turned out a lot better than I thought it would.
Now to get through the Sacred Grounds...

Actually, I wasn't even going to put Balrog and the others there in the first place. I just suddenly felt like putting them there. But I always got the impression that Misery stayed on the island, so you wouldn't be able to see her from here anyway

Once you defeat ballos in the end tho, after balrog saves you, he takes you to go meet up with misery in the mountains somewhere...
I mean not that it matters at all, your drawing is still great, I was just curious... haha

The perspective and shading are really nice! I've always wondered what time period Earth is supposed to be in Cave Story.

Thank you! This is actually the first time I've tried drawing something like this, and I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I'm glad you like it.
I always imagined that it takes place sometime in the future since people are able to build sentient robots by then, but I guess it's really up to anyone's interpretation.
