The Ancient Devil. A original concept Mega Man Legends boss that I came up with a few years ago, when Capcom released that Mega Man Boss contest that was open to the world. We didn't get much of a hint as to what series we were supposed to be drawing for so I just went with what I wanted to see most..... I should have submitted this to the Capcom Mega Man Legends 3 Project Design a Boss contest. Oh well. ^_^;

It's nice,I dig the design. This would certainly be a pretty epic reaverbot when redesigned to look like one. And, well...there's nothing else I could say xd

It's not supposed to be a Reaverbot, actually. It's story goes as being a ancient prototype of Wily's Yellow Devil machines. It would have been in a deactivated slumber deep in some hidden ruins, long abandoned as a failure. It is re-awakened as Volnut (Trigger) steps into it's chamber... How it reactivates, I have yet to figure out, but it's a video game boss; it doesn't have to make perfect sense. XD I designed it as a kind of easter egg boss. Something fun and familiar to connect the series to the rest of the franchise.

The style of the drills - as well as the attacks - remind me of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann....

Hooookay, so I finally looked up this anime on Youtube, and I can see where you see the resemblance with the drills. Although, I must say, I don't think Ancient Devil here could contend with the drills in that show. That's some heavy duty shite right there!
