Created: April 27, 2018 [Complete]I've never really liked how I drew Luigi (especially his eyes), so one day, I decided to sit down and practice with a reference in front of me. Still, I wasn't getting it, and got so frustrated, I decided to stop and call it quits for the night. A few days later, I tried again after finding inspiration from another artist, and I loved the way the sketch came out- the eyes never looked better!
I was so happy with the way the sketch turned out that I decided to use it as guidelines for an entirely new project, and expanded on the idea from there! And gosh dang, I haven't been proud of such a simple piece in awhile, so it's definitely inspired me to draw more and doodle up more little things whenever I can
(Hey the star-eyed syndrome has infected me once again )
I didn't have any particular reason for adding the butterfly and ladybug- it was an idea thrown to me by a good friend (thanks Celtic!)
And yes, that cookie in Luigi's hand may look familiar...

-So I looked them up, and they're called sable cookies! They're make by alternately stacking long strips of differently colored cookie dough into a checker board pattern (it's kinda weird to explain haha)

Haha I feel you there. My advice for you is to try drawing with a ref first, and if you're still having trouble, search up different artists' drawings of them, and try taking ideas from their styles. You never know what will happen!^^
