I recall that I've mentioned before that Sila used to be an "employed" /"captured" maid owned by a rich man back in her Johto days, according to her profile. And well, Sila herself once admitted that this rich guy used to be a sorta good dude. She even viewed him as...dishy (she was pretty much in her mid-teens at the time and regarding to her researches, she remembers this experience as a phase of teens going through as a crush/fantasizing stage, lol). Actually he wasn't just attractive to her, she said, he has the charm of being benevolent. A perfect boss who pampered her and called her as his darling and didn't overwork nor boss her.

But srsly good things and delightful days didn't last long when her master started to get in contact with alcohol. After he got his first taste of wine from someone, he was instantly addicted, Sila said. Being a mere servant she couldn't dissuade him because he couldn't help but drink more and soon he turned into a drunkard who also became merciless thanks to overdrinking which drastically changed his personality. As he got poorer and poorer, Sila realized she was downgraded to a slave and no more love from him but beatings instead.

Once he pummeled her so hard that actually scarred her neck deeply and that was the time she got abandoned outside the no longer glamourous house. The end. However, she gratefully the scarf we (Scarlet, Cuddles and me) gave her was meaning a new beginning and restart symbol of her life. She's right, since she won't have her beloved Kung Fu and her son if she hadn't left Johto.
