Description
"..Daphne was a forest nymph who caught the attention of Apollo. Apollo fell in love with her but she rejected him, so Apollo pursued her but she had to run in order to get away. During the middle of this chase she asked her river guardian father to help her and he changed her into a Laurel tree. Her womanly form is shown in the process of metamorphosis, with legs replaced by trunk and head and arms sprouting branches.."I

That's such a great and sad story, I can't help feeling sorry for Apollo, he seems to have had such bad luck with his women, he seems to have been rejected constantly, in spire of being a good musician and probably gentleman-like.
And great work, I like the slightly modernized touch!
