I did consider making an animated version but I think it'd need a fair few more inbetween frames to look good. I also thought it was more unnerving when the actual "movement" is left to the reader's imagination, and the "oh god when does this end" factor I feel is more effective when the user is in control of the speed via scrolling.
But if someone wants to try and animate it people can do whatever, when things get as popular as this have they tend to spiral out of control of the original artist so I've already mentally prepared myself for potential edits and loss of credit through derivative versions etc lol
