W00t for putting a bit more effort into this one! (E.g, actually colouring it).The original gag about the worms was something my bro and I thought up last half term, but I expanded it a bit when doodling in college the other day.
So yah, in ShTH, you blow up capital city in the Pure Dark story, but a following cut-scene has the general reporting there were no casualties... Lammmmme.

Nah, 4kids didn't have any control over the script, they just provided the voice actors. If they had done the translation, I doubt there'd be any swearing in there, after all, lol.

lol, that gun can always find a way to keep everyone from dieing. not to be rude or anything, but if you think about it, there are some deaths, just off screne though. example, in sonic adventure battle 2, everyone on prison island when the island exploded, the colony ARK, what do you think happened to all the people on ARK? the only really off screne death is when Shadow is plunged into space after saving the world. but now that you say it, there really arnt many deaths that you can actually see. anyways, the comic is good. fav+

It looks like people can't die even in an E-10 rated Sonic game, but you can have Shadow say "damn" every 3 minutes.

It wasn't the pure dark story, it was the sort of semi-dark story (if I remember correctly, which I possibly don't). Which just made it funnier.
And yes, I agree in every sense with how lame that was. XD If you're going to give a game a teen rating (what is it we have here? 11+? 13+? >_> I can never remember the middle game ratings these days. It used to be '11-14' anyway) then at least have a bit of a massacre in there somewhere. Although I know why they did it and all; in the very end he does a bit of good, and if people had actually died in the giant laser blast instead of inexplicably being safe then he'd still be all Evil Killer and stuff and ST wouldn't be able to say in any future game "He's alright really!" because he's, like, killed a million people. So basically they have to be alive so that Shadow can be good again later on.
...Which just leads to a whole rant about the whole Last Story. Don't get me started on that. v_V

And yes, the Last Story was very sucky. Oh apart from the cut-scene with those dumb limpet things eating them. That was awesome. In a "so sucky it's hilarious" way. X3

Darn, sorry! X_x If it's of any consolation, it's not really a major plot point that affects anything in the long run (mainly due to the whole evacuation thing XD), so don't worry too much.
And I heard it's an E+10 over there. =O It got a 12 rating here, and I've seen plenty of death in 12 rated games.

Hun, that game has been released in America -- the land where soccer moms and dumb shits proclaim war on reality checks by forcing down non-realistic adventures with Dora the Explorer on 7 year olds. I'm pretty certain that if that was not added in in the last minute, we all would be hearing some soccer mom yapping about how Shadow is enticing violence on "all" children (but mostly American children) or making them worship Satan or some stupid shit like that. They had to, I'm most certain they had to. That's one of the things I don't like about this country. I've lived in others, so I have the right to speak of the contrasts. -_-
Yeah, you guys have a different rating system, I forgot about that. Isn't the highest 15 or 17 or something like that? XD Wow, that brought back memories. I remember going with random people on a scavenger hunt in New Zealand, and one of the places involved going into a movie rental store, and I was pretty confused by not seeing ratings with letters.

Yes, I know. XD I blame EVERY lame thing I see in game translations on america nowadays, since I know anything you guys censor, is gonna be censored for me too. XD;
That might actually be why my favourite game script is the one for Majora's Mask. That was translated by an English person (if you look out, a few people say stuff like "Blimey!" and "Cripes!". XD I'll have to look out for the word colour in there as well... see if it's a six letter word in Majora's Mask. X3 Of course, that's not a good example of British censorship I guess, since over here it got a 12+ rating. Although that moved down to the 7+ rating which had been introduced recently, upon it's re-release.
And the number system is easy. XD It all depends on age, simple as that. With games, it goes 3+, 7+, 12+, 15+ and 18+. It starts on 3 simply because anyone younger is unlikely to even understand a video game. We also have little symbols printed on the package to indicate any taboo content (swearing, violence (if it's in a cartooney way or only against fantastical creatures rather than humans, this one doesn't count), sex, discrimination, fear and.... something else I can't remember. Either way, Shadow got a 12+ rating and the violence and swearing icons put on it. XD
Recently though, some games over here have been starting to be rated by the British Board of Film Classifications, so on some games you get film ratings instead: Uc, U, PG, 12a, 12, 15, 18, R-18. Uc means suitable for all, but aimed at children, U means suitable for all, PG means "Parental Guidance" (not for young kids), 12a is only for cinema releases (not on DVDs etc) and means anyone under 12 must be accompanied by an adult (so it's the adults responsibility if they think the movie is suitable), 12, 15, and 18 obviously refer to ages, and R-18 is only really given to porn movies.
So yay, you learn something new everyday! ^^ (Sorry, I expect that bored you, but I like to tell people stuff about my country that they'll prolly find really strange compared to theirs).
