For one of two reasons (take your pick):
1. I’m a horrible person, in which case I’m not worth your time.
2. I’m a not-so-horrible person who doesn’t like it when some self-appointed moralist tells us what we should and shouldn’t draw. I’ve met many Prestons over the years, and if I’d listened to their “morals” and “wisdom” I’d have stopped drawing long ago. In the same time I’ve seen a lot of art I haven’t liked, and although I’ve sometimes poked fun at it (Winchell’s comics being a recent example) I’ve never said it’s immoral or wrong or ordered its creators to stop. As I don’t go out of my way to find it, I’ve only very rarely seen art that’s immoral or wrong by any sane standard, but that stuff’s best left (or shown) to the police.
This picture might seem out of place as I don’t think Winchell’s on DA, and Preston left a while ago, but they’re still very active online. I don’t have any problem with this and they have as much of a right to keep preaching as I have to draw parodies. Few fields of human endeavor are – or should be – as subjective as art and I don’t think art should have to conform to any one person’s idea of “good,” no matter how good their intentions may be.

Maybe I'm just being naive, but when it comes to visual art, I think the ideals I've outlined are ideals worth striving for.
Science is a different game, and it's worth remembering a communist state put a satellite and a man in space before a capitalist state put a man on the moon. Neither side of politics is serving science well right now - it's to be expected from the usual suspects, but hearing some so-called progressives dismiss science as a white male cultural construct shows they don't understand science at all.

If they had some artistic merit, and I was a museum curator, I'd put them somewhere between the shrunken heads and Aztec sacrificial knives: gruesome cultural artefacts that to someone, somewhere, once made sense. You've got a great new theory though - some people think Winchell's serious, others think he's a sarcastic troll, but he may well be some kind of bot that collects the worst of the internet and regurgitates it in comic strip form!
