Description

In the early 20th century a world recovering from war embraced a former soldier’s tales of a bumbling teddy bear who lived in a blissful Arcadia. In the early 21st century a very different generation created an expanded mythos around a spectral bogeyman who first appeared on Something Awful. This combination came to me while I was lying comfortably in bed. It could be taken as a joke or a catalyst for further thought on how a culture’s myths reflect its needs.
