Back in school we would play a game to get warmed up for our films at the end of the year. Everyone would throw a word into a hat and then at midnight we would draw a word out and then everyone would have 48 hours to make a film that had something to do with that word.The word that got drawn was lollipop, and i came up with
"The Naieve Man From Lolliland" after drawing this, the first ever pops.

I kept wondering what he was supposed to be when I randomly saw an episode on tv. -The episode where the doll is trying to draw on them; I was so confused.

I knew I remembered seeing Pops somewhere before~
I really like how you allude to the original short by having Pops, in the show, give Mordecai and Rigby lollipops instead of money; things like that. Whenever I watched that part, I always had a strange sense of nostalgia hit me, but I never knew why.

I remember seeing this when I was quite young on Nicktoons as one of their shorts...I was HYSTERICAL in laughter. I managed to record it and treasure it forever.
To this day pops is my favourite.
That was simply the most amazing short ever.
