It looks a bit neo-pop. That gives me an idea of trying it under a blacklight!
Best way to learn is to learn from others. You could reference the work done in the actual invincible comic or the work of other colorists that work over your inks. Maybe more muted colours and less staurated would make it click better. It was a bit too much purple and green for my taste. Try going for an overall tone, lighting or singular color scheme. I'm not nuch of a colorist myself, actually I pretty much suck but I just felt like putting in my two pennies worth.

I had the girlfriend weigh in a lot and she didn't dig the saturated purple either but I went back and forth with other colors and that purple made me the happiest for some reason. I think I wanted it to be garish.
