Description
Our first "Shipping" episode for MLP Season 8. Maud Pie finally have a boyfriend, named Mudbriar.Although Mudbriar's behavior is annoying to some, one thing is for sure. He made Maud happy, as she said that "they have a lot in common". "So happy" that this is the episode by far to have the most scenes of Maud smiling, something that is really rare to see from this pony.
I hope we see more of this pony character and learn more about him and see his relationship to Maud Pie grow through the progression of this season.
Special mention to Twiggy and Boulder, their pets. I am wondering if some in the fandom "Ships" this two.

Mudbriar: Technically, Maud, you and I are not "a thing". A thing denotes an inanimate object devoid of life or sentience. Furthermore, "thing" is grammatically singular, and we are plural. QED, we are NOT a thing.
Maud: You're so cute when you're meticulously logical and say Quo Eras Demonstratum as an acronym.

Those two are the perfect match for each other. It has been a while but Big Mac is the first one who ever get a girlfriend and that mare is Sugar Belle and now we see the 2nd one, Maud and her boyfriend, Mudbriar.
You know... it kinda made me think that sticks and stones are great match cuz of the houses built and how a stick can support a rock to prevent rolling down or through.

A very cute deviation of The Maud Couple. I love how Maud smiles when she's happy or thinks about Mudbriar. It's a cute, understated smile perfect for her stoic personality. And as strange and awkward as Mudbriar is, he and Maud are perfect for each other. I ship it. And call it the SS Bazinga.
