Description
Chloe's dark elf husband, Artemis, has been watched by another dark elf girl--Melly Ornthal--who has fallen incurably in love with him. She'll do anything in her power to make sure that she and Artemis can be together. The one thing standing in her way? Chloe.

Well, having studied every bad soap opera and analyzed every option, Melly decided that kidnapping Chloe would be the way to go. Too bad she didn't know that Chloe is not fazed by hyper girls with guns and poor plans. So when Melly shows up at the door while Artemis is at work pointing a gun in Chloe's face, Chloe laughs.

"I'm in love, and you need to get the hell out of my way!" Melly sneers.

Chloe nods, raising an eyebrow. "Oh yes, of course! My husband has an admirer, I see, that thinks she's going to win his heart my exerting violence on me. By the way, sweetheart, your gun's clip isn't even jammed all the way in."

Melly, suddenly outraged and embarrassed, fumbles with the weapon while Chloe waits patiently. When she finally gets it in, and the gun clicks, she points it at Chloe. "I'll kill you if I have to."

"Of course you will, they all do." Chloe says lightly. "Now, I'll go get a chair and something for you to tie me up. Artemis'll be home around six, so that gives you...what? An hour and a half to play your little games. Me? I've seen worse from the emo-skaters at the mall." Chloe pulls a chair from the kitchenette of her apartment, and sets it in the middle of the floor. "Come on in, do your thing. Close the door and lock it, I have a neighbor who likes to drift in and out when he's not wanted."

Melly is properly confused by this...this insulting reaction to her true desires! How dare this human she-rat be so flip with her! "You little skank!"

Chloe responds by walking up and handing her some thick, gray wires, despite the gun pointed at her chest. "Hey, if you've thought this through, you know all you have to do is gag me when you stop liking what I say."

"With pleasure!" Melly sneers. "Sit down, hands behind your back!" Melly then ties a length of cord above and below Chloe's chest, then two more, and another two around her legs, tightening them as hard as she could.

"Sweetheart, I could get out of this if I wanted to. That isn't your best, is it? Not for the man you and I hold so dear?"

It was her best, and it makes Melly more furious. "OK, yeah. Where's the duct tape?"

Chloe shakes her head. "The last crazy lover used it all on me. It got stuck in my hair; a real pain to pull off, you know?"

"Stop making fun of me!" Melly screeches.

Chloe laughs. "Alright, seriously: our bedroom's right through that door over their. My stuff in the upper top left drawer. If you dig, you'll find a dress scarf Artemis's sister gave me for my birthday last year. But I don't dress up, so I'll never use it. That should do what you want."

Melly darts through the door. Chloe, looks down at her Green Day shirt. It was her "Warning" one. How fitting. She hums "Blood, Sex, and Booze": "Don't know what to do, all dressed up and bound and gagged up to a chair...it's so unfair."

A minute later, Melly returns with the item in hand. "Sit still." She thens puts it over Chloe's mouth.

"Hey." Chloe says. "You know that doesn't work in real life, right? See? I'm still talking, la la la la."

Melly, frustrated, removes it. "Fine, how would you do it?"

"You mean how I'm going to do it to you when I get out of this?" Chloe asks. "First of all, you've got to actually put something in my mouth. Then, you pull it between my teeth to hold the object in place. It won't stop all the noise, but close enough."

"What do you mean, 'do it to me?'" Melly asks.

"I can get out of this whenever I want. So when I'm bored, you better be able to outrun me."

Oh, I'll make sure you won't be getting out..." So, after repeating the procedure (after retrieving a sock) per Chloe's instructions, Melly grabs the phone. "Artemis will do it on my terms...or you die."

"Oh-kmmph." Chloe says irritatingly cheerfully.

Melly starts dialing Artemis's cell phone. As it starts to ring...

"Artimmph!" Chloe yells. "Honmmph, brmmpg hmm uh gallmmph uh milf." [Honey, bring home a gallon of milk.]

Melly, surprised, ends the call. "Argh! Shut up! I'm going to kill you!" A cat suddenly jumps up on the kitchen counter, and begins grooming itself.

"Nmmph yur notmmph." [Not you're not.] "Smmph's nnmph gunna killmmph me. Rmmph, Gerrmmph?" [She's not gonna kill me. Right, Gerry?] The cat meows in response, and continues to calmly lick itself.

Melly growls. "Fine! I'll go do it in your bedroom! Let's see you bother me in there! You annoying little slutface!"

Chloe, "Fmmph 'oo." [I dislike you.]

Melly goes into the dark bedroom, and sits down on the bedroom, illumed by the glow of the phone. She takes a moment to clear her head, stroking her long ears in aggravation. God, that girl was annoying. "Okay," she looks back down at the phone, "0-4-3...1-1...5--mmph!"

Suddenly, sure enough, a hand wraps around her mouth, and jerks the phone away. It falls to the floor. "Ee!" Chloe yips in a satirical manner, "Looks like I win! You left your gun on the counter, you dummy. I took the liberty of unloading it for you." She released Melly's mouth, and grabs her left ear, and yanking it and speaking into it. "Now let's see if you can get out of my unpleasant surprise for you." Chloe grips Melly's arm and twists it behind her back.

"Ouch!" Melly yelps.

"No, this wasn't your best idea ever, was it?" Chloe says. "Fortunately, enough of you come along that I get to stay in practice."
