I don't know, actually. I've only ever played with friends, so I never really got into the "scene" or a broader discussion about the game.

It's a really great game, to be sure. My friends and I have been playing for a long time. I wish they'd let you name your vehicles.

Well, the Sky Lynx is just an over-all good racer, it accelerates well, it turns well, and it's fast.
The Bruiser is a monster, the biggest car possible in the game.
Also possible is the Paper Craft, made with the Speedy Dragon (body), Jewel Phantom (cockpit), and a booster I can't remember. It can fly if you drive off the edge, and then hold down R (or L) and tilt the joystick right (or left). It only does spirals unless you switch between buttons and directions.
