For years I've been fantasizing about a new Bare Knuckle game, and I've had a billion ideas about gameplay, locations, characters and designs, but I never really put anything down on paper. Lately however, I've been thinking about actually doing so, both to keep myself from forgetting all the stuff I might come up with, and to practice putting together some kind of design document. In any event, I figured that when it comes to design, what better to start off with than the main character?

I thought about doing something completely original, but decided that I'd rather do that for hypothetical alternate outfits. So instead I went for something extremely close to his BK3 design - sleeveless white tee, somewhat tight blue jeans, red gloves and sneakers. I added the keychain and necklace to keep him from looking too boring, and went with slightly longer hair as I think he'd look good in it.

Overall I was extremely happy with this picture - the proportions came out just right - he's very fit, but still slender - the creases in the clothing look convincing enough, and the ever-so-slight shading generally makes things look interesting. The face has room for improvement, but it's still about a million times better than my last effort ([link] ), so all in all I can't really complain.

I mean to do more of these - at least for all playable characters... eventually. Knowing me it'll probably be 2007 until you get to see Adam and Blaze... but hey, at least then you've got something to look forward to, right?
