"Ugh, I'm sore all over. We had to do the mile in PE today, it was awful." Sophie complained, moving a strand of her blonde hair behind one ear. She was sitting on her bed with her best friend, Charlotte, studying for tomorrow's history test. "OH! That reminds me." Charlotte said, pulling her pencil case from her backpack and looking around inside for a minute before carefully lifting up a pencil. "Check it out." Sophie looked, narrowing her eyes a little. "Um...so?" "On the tip! It's Julia." Sophie leaned in a little closer, and then saw it. The tiny girl, clinging desperately to the tip of the pencil. She looked as if she was screaming. "Oh. My. God." Sophie said, laughing at the sight of her pathetically tiny classmate. "Right? She spilled some shit on herself in science, and then when we were in PE later, she shrank! I was the only one that saw." Charlotte grinned, slowly turning the pencil around to prevent Sophie's laughter from blowing Julia away. She was so tiny that the smallest of movements from Charlotte were like quakes to her. "What are you going to do with her?" Sophie asked. "Well, she's really smart. I figured I'd cram her in my ear for the history test tomorrow so she can give me some answers." Sophie made a face. "EW! That's gross." "Hey! I clean my ears." "Yeah, but still, it's probably pretty dirty deeper inside." "Haha, yeah, well, sucks for her. Maybe I'll have her clean it out while she's at it." The two girls giggled as they continued to discuss their lilliputian peer's fate as if she weren't even there.
