Description
Another Nintendo forgotten character. He's the hero from the StarTropics NES games. That game series are a weird mix between The Legend Of Zelda and EarthBound stuff. Mike attacks with weapons like a bat, fireballs and his powerful yo-yo.Related content

As do I. Especially since the ending of the second one was a big "fuck you" to the fans, IMO.

I never really played the games, actually. Thanks to the Wii's Virtual Console, I've played a bit of the first one, but I'm stuck on the second dungeon place thing; it's not a puzzle I'm having trouble with so much as it is the fact that surviving these places are pretty hard.

This was the only game my parents would play when i was a kid. that game was mad fun. they should remake it so that it has the sam PoV as TLoZ OoT.
I would buy it.

Yup. A new StarTropics game would rock hard.

Startropics 2 was prolly the last true NES game ever, and a good one at that. I wish that they remake/continue the series...There are still references to this game going on, however. (Where else have you seen the villain's name?)

Zoda's also a character in the F-Zero series. His origional design was alot like the "humanoid" mode of Startropics, too, but they recently made him into his current pink-wirehead design, for some reason.
Also, awesome. Found some Startropics art!

Makes me wonder if it's supposed to be the same Zoda.

And don't forget Crescent Island from Pilotwings 64, which is basically the same geographical structure as Startropics's C-Island.
Nintendo hasn't forgotten. (At least not NoA)

That's all well and good that they included those references, but why not just make a full-blown third Startropics rather than just teasing us like this?
Oh, and win picture is win.

Interesting, I don't know this character, but that's probably to be expected, since Mike Jones is one of the forgotten characters. Pretty cool work Jiggly, I like the colours and shading.

I was thinking of a different Mike Jones.
"Back then they didn't want me
Now I'm hot, they all on me
Mike Jones
Mike Jones
Mike Jones
Mike Jones..."
I like how you drew him, though, especialy his eyes and his outfit. I'm not at all familiar with this character.
