after much dallying-two weeks in the making-i got another sci-fi thingy. this one features the exact same characters as the Futuromatic, if a little exaggerated. they're supposed to be in the futuristic Floating World (which was actually the japanese name for the red-light district of the Edo period ) The guy is sort of like a male geisha--i admit that the long white hair and androgynous features of anime bishonen are a fixation with me --and the girl is his human-mecha bodyguard.

tech: i aimed for a BD (the luscious style of french comics) feeling here, that's why i left the lineart pretty much intact. had trouble with the freakin pink clouds, i must be losing my touch for the brushes . also, i used a texture for the guy's kimono since i did not see myself going to the trouble of doing it by hand.
