Larkpaw squinted. Their eyes were attacked with a harsh light, a colour they hardly recognized. It certainly was unnatural, maybe a purple of a sorts. They looked around. Everything was a darker shade of the colour. they started to feel uneasy, when they heard the hiss of a snake.
Their first instinct is to run. Run and find help. But their paws weren't moving! They couldn't move at all, not even a hairlength. Panic started to set in. They heard more hissing behind them, and they were overwhelmed with the smell of crowfood. But another scent among it was almost stronger. Fear-scent, not their own. They continued struggling to turn around, when they saw a paw out of the corner of their eyes. Looking up, there was a bright ginger tom with an almost red tail and piercing blue eyes. They knew by the shimmer of his pelt and the frost under his paws that he was Starclan.
"Help me! Oh please, help me! Sir, I'm stuck!" The tom blinked slowly, and narrowed his eyes at them. "The snake's body is rot, yet his heart still beats. It still yearns for love." He disappeared with a flash of fire-ish light, and their paws were free! Turning around, they felt bile rise up in their throat at the sight. A snake, falling apart and bloody, loomed above them.
