i mean we get a month because only in the last 10 years our marriage was made legal. we get a month because gay people and trans people are still thrown off roofs in other countries for who they are. we get a month because lots of people DON'T think we deserve equal rights, and when we stand up and make noise about who we are, people will start to recognize our struggle and maybe realize that we also deserve equal rights. pride month isnt about making up for how weve been mistreated, its about fixing the wrongdoings that ARE STILL being done to us.
