The Super Stars released a large puff of dark smoke, just like it did when it released the Dark Army. The Super Stars released a large, demon-like dark spirit that possessed incredible power. "You have done well servant," the Dark Creature said to the Commander, "Now we can begin the Age of Darkness!" By this time, Hex had calmed down from his Rage form. The super stars dropped to the floor, as the Commander no longer had any use for them. Hex ran over to the Super Stars, seeing Comet slowly fading. "Hex... I'm sorry." Comet said. "For what?" Comet explained "When you scattered the Super Stars, Darkness decided to try to bring one of the Super Stars to life, allowing him to move around. However, he had forgotten that the Super Stars were holy objects. Because of this... *cough* the Super Star he brought to life ended up being good. However, slowly, but surely, the Dark power started to... consume me. That's what happened back at Lavalava Island. When we were on our way to Shiver City, I remembered how I was alive. But... I..." Comet paused, shedding a single tear, "I didn't tell you, because I was afraid that if you knew the truth, you wouldn't be friends with me. It was so nice having a friend, and it was a feeling I didn't want to let go." Hex replied "So... does that mean that now that..." "Yes," Comet said "Now that Darkness is no longer.... in...side...... me.... I.... will....fad..... a..way........" Comet then was no longer alive, but was just a normal Super Star. Hex was bent over the used to be Comet, and he shed a tear or two at the loss of his friend. Shine walked up to him, and patted him on the back, trying to cheer him up. Hex got up, still looking down. Hex then walked up to Darkness, who was sending Dark clouds into the sky, blocking out the sun. Hex took out his sword, still full of sadness at the loss of his best friend. Darkness looked down at the broken-hearted Hero. "So, you were the one who was defying my minions? You look much more pathetic than I imagined." Hex couldn't utter another word, but he slowly raised up his head. "What's the matter, upset at the loss of your little friend? Pathetic." Darkness blasted Hex, launching him back, but Shay and Shine were able to catch Hex before he hit the ground. "Your feelings make you weak," Darkness said, "but no matter. I will deal with you personally, since my minions failed to stop you." Hex gained up a little willpower, but he was still in a state of depression. Hex kept going up to try to attack, but Darkness was easily able to repeatedly attack Hex. Shay was about to go up and help Hex, but Shine grabbed him by his cloak, holding him back. Shine then whispered something into Shay's ear. Hex started gaining more and more willpower, but despite this, Darkness was too strong for Hex to beat. Hex was teetering on the verge of death, but then Shay exclaimed "HEADS UP!" Shay tossed Hex the Super Stars. "Oh, what's this? Feeling like a hero? Then go ahead, let's see how much of a hero you really are!"
