I know I draw him WAY too cute. I can't help it. He's a prepubescent boy, I mean, given my track record, is anyone actually surprised?Go go super adorable zoom in! Now with 50% more friendly salamander(??) action!
I can't wait until ~ai-risa moves in so I can steal her tablet FUCK YES no more doing this shit with a mouse!
I'll figure out how to draw cats one of these days.
PS: I really do hate fishing for comments, but I like them much more than faves or pageviews. :\

I've seen this before while browsing the Coraline tag and I don't know why I never commented! Two and a half years after submission isn't too late, right? Ehehehe.
Someone else has said this, but you captured his personality very well. One of the things that I found so hilarious about Wybie when we first see him is that there's a ton of foliage and sticks and stuff in his hair. He's a boy with a strict grandmother, but he's always off trying to find himself a creepy creature.
And this was done by a mouse? That's so awesome. This is really great and fun and I happen to think you draw cats very well.

Wow, I'm getting a really impressionistic feel from this peace, which I always thought was pretty hard to do with digital paintings. I love the setting and the carefree mood. Nothing like Wybie at his most natural. :3

My edges are NOT, in fact, that smooth. At all. Mostly I work pretty big and then reduce the final product, and that helps a bit, but my favorite trick is to spend extra time making imporant things (here, his face) look good and TO HELL WITH EVERYTHING ELSE because no one will look to closely at it anyway. XD

I cant get over how you somehow managed to make the character not get swallowed up by the background without any border lines. At first I thought it had to do with the colors, but now I'm thinking it all has to do with the line placements INSIDE the character >|very clever indeed!
