I must admit to loving your 'Thundermug' ideas.
Though I've always thought that a more 'B-25' type split tail would give the turret gunner a better chance of clearing the bad guys off the Mug's six.
Might the Navy and/or Marines like something similar done with the Corsair? Something that can help the 'Jar heads' on the ground?
