Description
Impressed with the late 1930's Italian CANT Z.511 seaplane (sortof a B-17 on floats with some Lockheed thrown-in! See illustration A),
adapted the float-design to a brand new Boeing B-47 Stratojet strategic
USAF (B) bomber (Please see history of CANT Z.511 and B-47 Stratojet on
Wikipedia [really cool history!] in the mid 1950's (B).
The result of this odd-wedding was generated by that sociopathic-psychopathic-
Arithmetitic-isoperimetilly - minded alt' universe-traveling: Professor Anton Veeblefitzer,
Himself!!! Genius aviation-science demi-god!!!!: the Veeblefitzer-Boeing VBN-47A Stratoshark!
PAV hoped that the USN and USMC would be interested in having a sea-going strategic nuclear-
armed jet bomber. The craft, while limited in speed and performance, due to the mass and weight
of the twin-floats , however, had remarkable range because the floats contained enormous fuel capacity!
Well-l-l-l, the USN and USMC didn't need to have such an aircraft, and the non-existent orders were cancelled
even before they could be thought-of and written down!
How's THAT for a fantasy! - PAV
(Profiles C-D-E show the craft as imagined by PAV!)
