Okay so I have to admit that Yuko was inspired by the idea of fighting a demon with the, "Iron Fisted Boxing," or "Tiger Claw," type marshal arts in those B-Rated Kung Fu movies. I used Ryoga Hibiki and Ranma Saotome form Ranma ½ as inspiration for her costume, she a total Tomboy and the smug smile, she know she the best marshal artist in the world...

Half Chinese, Half Japanese, and form the Island of Okinawa. Yuko is the oldest of three girls, before she was born her mother had a dream that her first born child would turn into a tiger eat the demon haunting her dreams. Yuko was born a normal little girl but when she was 5, her hair started turning orange, and she started to become as strong as a tiger. Her father would teach her, "Iron Fisted Tiger Boxing," because of her ability to shred anything with her bare hands. When she was 10 years old her father set out to sea on a routine fishing run and never came back, her mother would move their family back to her home town of Osaka. Yuko would become a bouncer to help support her family, late one night Yuko would come home to find her family in hiding, a demon had found its way inside, with out hesitation she jumped into action and ripped the demons throat out. She would continue to fight and tear the demon to pieces until the sun came up. her mother's dream had come true, her oldest daughter had become a tiger.

Side note - Yuko is not officially a Demon Slayer, she was arrested by local Police in Osaka for beating up low rank Demon Slayers and sealing their swords. She would be, "rescued," by Cpt. Kitawaga and Takako posing as Kenpeitai, who she would in turn rescue when a demon caught them off guard with out their weapons. She would return to Kyoto with the two of them and hang out like a stray cat, and eventually move her family in without permission.
