Bloodname was the very first Battletech novel I'd ever read.

The tales of Aidan Pryde hold a special place in my memory.

Never thought a speedpaint of a mech could evoke so many emotions.

Great Job Mr. Hatama, great job.

Valaska In reply to Erick-FM [2016-01-17 02:31:52 +0000 UTC]

No, it's a Timber Wolf from Battletech. In particular this is Aidan Pryde's custom Timber Wolf built for his use only after his Summoner was destroyed earlier. Falcon Guard's is referring to the unit he lead of Clan Jade Falcon. The scene depicted is of his death on Tukayyid where he fought against the ComGuard's taking an entire company out himself as he held the ComStar troops away from his clan's fleeing dropship, saving not only the lives of the Falcon Guard's cluster but his daughter.

In fact this fight he had only just learned of his daughter, Dianna, was actually his daughter. Part of the reason he took the stand to ensure she survived, fighting until well past the last second, neglecting to eject and dying while firing.

It's great how you've kept the off-focus areas blurred and vague, to help create the chaotic atmosphere of battle.

Man, I miss the old MechWarrior games from FASA before f-ing WizKids took over. They rocked some serious socks... then MechAssault and MechWarrior 4 came out... and everything went to shit. They sure know how to kill an awesome computer game series.

I just spent the past 3 hours scouring the web for information, and guess what:
I shit bricks!
Thanks for the heads up! I just hope it will be just as good as MechWarrior 3 or better, and not as bad as MechWarrior 4 ended up being.

Again, thank you thank you thank you!
