Description
Decided to draw Princess Midna, who was my first video game crush don'tcha know, in her cursed Imp form. First time I've drawn her like this as well, as all the other times in the past have been her in her true form.
And yes, I will be drawing true form Princess Midna soonish.
And yes, I did give her thicc and what not, how I roll.

This may be odd of me to say...but I never really liked Midna's "true form". She seemed to lose a lot of the spark and fire that made her so unique and fun as a Zelda character when she took that form, becoming less herself and more 'Shadow Zelda'.
It's why for art of Midna, I always prefer curvy Imp Form to anything of her true form.

Nah it's not odd, not at all. I love both her forms and imp was the first one we saw with its deliciously short-stacked thiccness. I just like the true form that tiny bit more because I love the character so much as well as the game itself, and to see the true form was a good reward for all the time you spent with Midna. Both forms are beautiful though in their own respected rights

True enough that they're both beautiful. I just wish Nintendo did a better job making true form Midna still feel like the Midna we spent so long getting to know during the game.

I'd argue towards the end (around near the end of mid-game, roughly?) she drops her front of her sarcy, slightly pompous nature we met her as and starts to show her true nature before returning to true form. But that's just my opinion on it P:

She opens up more and is less pompous, but she's just as snarky as always, especially in the non-plot dialogue. Her 'true nature', in my opinion, is of a spunky, snarky spitfire of a tomboy, something she's not allowed to be as a Princess but didn't hesitate to act on while in her Imp form.

I'd wager she is that kind of person (spunky etc) because she sees that she has nothing left, nothing left to lose and has no one she can fall back onto until she ends up realizing that Link (and Zelda) are there for her. Especially after you save her from 'light' poisoning.

I still think she had it in her even before that, but no real opportunity to show it in the Twilight.
