Description
Considered cropping but I like how it is framed. Contrast- ditto, Levels- ditto, saturation- ditto. Practically straight of the camera. Proud of this one for that.Related content

It's literally outside my front door so I couldn't miss it, they're always out. Thanks.

camo face paint and crawling through mud optional...
i spent ages once trying to get close to a hurd of deer, using a 400mm lens and a digi slr with a 1.6x focal length multiplier. i was down wind and couldn't get close enough to get a decent picture. i had dark coloured clothes on and was as near as dammit silent, staying close to the tree line and even crawling under the low branches to stay in cover. something kept spooking them and i'd have to follow them to the next field or back into the forest. i gave up in the end after spending about 5 hours following them and got zero to show for it. a couple of weeks later i was out on my mountain bike and i came hacking round a corner in carpenters wood (making lots of noise) and almost ran a deer over that hadn't heard me coming! it's all down to luck with wildlife. i'm sure you can skew the results in your favour, but if you don't have any luck your coming home with noting to show for it except being covered in mud.

Sounds cool though. Stalking animals in the woods. Is there any good woodland nearby that you'd recommend visiting? I'd like to find somewhere with lots bluebells for next spring.

carpenters wood out by chineham business park and pamber forest out by silchester. both easily ridable from basingrad. although, maybe not with only one working arm. there's a small layby where you can park a car at the s/w entrance to pamber forest.

I decided to leave it quite dark as i think it looks better that way?
And its soft because the lens that I'm using is about 12 years old....
And full of dust!

You're probably right though. It is quite dark really. I do appreciate your input.
