thought i'd attempt to paint a titan for once (i've noticed not many people do images of them surprisingly) and i think it more or less came out ok, i was just kinda hoping it looked like the damn things as i drew it from vague memory haha any feedback on how to improve would be very appreciatedRelated content

I think most of the pictures that I have seen go out of there way to use perspective to make them look HUGE and AWESOME. Some people close up in the foreground and then looking out across a vast battlefield with the titan looming over it. That kind of thing.
But I know I wouldn't have the patience to fill a huge battlefield with battling troops and explosions and stuff...

yeah i didn;t get the chance to put in a proper army and the perspective didn't come out as awesome as i would've liked, kinda similar to the book cover of mechanicum, which had a good sense of scale/depth

I know some of my really old WH40k books had awesome battle scenes. Especially the manuals from the epic scale games. Great sweeping battle scenes with thousands of marines and bloody great titans.
It's a shame you don't see much of that anymore. Although as I don't have the patience I don't really see why anyone else should...

aha i'm hoping to do a piece on that kind of scale, i'm planning a series of images for something in min and a friends story which is literally a universe engulfed in total war, with things larger than planets clawing at each other and blowing each other up, ships longer than moons in massive fleets and all sorts of things like that, the idea of a universe devouring itself in a complete war yadda so that'll hopefully come out in an epic scale if i get the chance/patience to do it properly

I'm struggling to have the patience to finish a painting of Darth Vader, Bobba Fett and four Stormtroopers. Although if I stopped procrastinating and got off the internet it would probably be done by now...

aha well the internet has to be a bit of both really, hard working and idling complete one another in some ways, couldn't work without taking a break and couldn't rest without working. sounds like a good piece though so good luck with that, should be amazing
