Description
Got to see Brightburn yesterday! Been looking forward to it since it was first announced and it did not disappoint! I always liked the idea of a cosmic-level superhero going rogue (like in DC's Injustice, Mark Waid's Irredeemable etc.) and the horror-spin on this concept worked out surprisingly well. Plus, the ending leaves room for so many interesting possibilities. I really hope we get to see more of Brandon Breyer and his sadistic shenanigans!Portfolio ♦ Picarto ♦ Tumblr ♦ Instagram ♦ Facebook ♦ YouTube ♦ Artstation ♦ Twitter ♦ DeviantArt

If I understand that logic
= A good Darkside should come to kill brightburn and the others
Instead of Darkseid he may be named Lightspark.
And good Doomsday may be named Valentine as in Valentine's day to symbolise love.

Makes sense to me
The Death of Superman would involve a ton more of hugging and cuddling in that case.

Me too! Deliciously creepy and gory with some nerdy superhero stuff thrown into the mix! That's my jam.

I saw this movie, too!
I had a weird thought: if superheroes are evil horror movie villains in the Brightburn universe, what does that make slashers?
Jason Voorhees: Brandon drowns a teenage boy who comes back as an undead avenger.
Freddy Krueger: A parapsychologist is killed by Brandon; his ghost becomes "The Keymaster", with keys instead of fingerblades. He haunts the dreams of survivors of "Brightburn" attacks and uses his keys to "unlock" their hidden psychic powers so they can fight back.
Chucky: A dying policeman, the victim of one of "Brightburn's" rampages, transfers his soul into a doll. He uses a combination of voodoo magic and advanced technology to fight Brandon.
Michael Myers: His family is murdered one Halloween by Brightburn; he grows up to be Brandon's "Batman," able to go toe-to-toe with superpowered beings (kind of like how Michael Myers is able to shrug off a lot of things that would kill most normal people for some reason or other).
Hellraiser's Cenobites: Well, they are said to be "angels to some, demons to others." In this case, they'd be the "angels."

That sounds awesome, I'd read a story about that Really interested to see how the Cenobites would try and tackle Brightburn.
Because everything in this movie seems to be turned on its head, I also have been playing with the idea of the original supervillains turning into 'good guys' or something.
General Zod and his compatriots could be some form of rogue bounty hunters, tracking down the babies their species has sent throughout the galaxy and try to stop them from growing into a menace. Perhaps he could even team up with a Lex Luthor-like scientist, who happens to have acquired pieces of the pod Brandon arrived in.
Joker could perhaps be an out-of-town detective, a wildcard who doesn't play by the books, and has a penchant for making jokes at the most inappropriate times. He could have been called by Commissioner Gordon to take on the evil version of Batman (perhaps a playboy gone mad, locked up at Arkham and escaped?) because they happen to have a shared history.
But yeah, the ending with Michael Rooker as a conspiracy theorist and the teases he made (half-fish half-man, a witch who strangles people) leaves open so many possibilities, I can't help but think of cool story ideas where villains are heroes and vice versa!

Michael Rooker's character was a bit Lex Luthor-like himself.

Honestly the idea of a conspiracy-theorist Lex Luthor/Michael Rooker is the most perfect thing ever.
I need Brightburn II NOW!!!
