Hmmm...

I don't really know how to explain it but I try to imagine 'shapes' when doing the shading, shapes like triangles and trapezoids mostly lel

But when it comes to the 'large shaded' areas (refer to the torso) , I just do the the fold first then I just sorta go with my gut feeling and draw lines that connect

Sorry if it isn't really helpful! Mostly I just study the shading Shidu does with her characters then next is just go with my feeels .3.
